- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with chopped onion, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese into the warm beef mixture and mix until slightly melted and combined.
- Slice the Italian bread loaf lengthwise and hollow out the center, leaving a sturdy shell.
- Mix melted butter with minced garlic and brush evenly inside the hollowed bread.
- Spoon the beef mixture evenly into the prepared bread shell.
- Top with the remaining 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and lightly golden.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley, let rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve.
