  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 3/4 cup melted butter
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 package (6 oz) strawberry flavored gelatin
  • 4 cups sliced fresh strawberries

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) then mix the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and sugar together in a bowl. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes, then allow to cool completely.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together the powdered sugar and softened cream cheese until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping, then spread the cheesecake mixture over the cooled pretzel crust. Refrigerate until the cheesecake layer is firm, about 1 hour.
  3. In a large bowl, dissolve the strawberry gelatin in boiling water. Allow it to cool to room temperature. Once cooled, stir in the sliced strawberries, then carefully pour the strawberry and gelatin mixture over the cheesecake layer. Refrigerate the dessert until the gelatin layer is set, at least 4 hours or overnight.
